Introduction

    Founded in 1992, ISU Graduate School of Management is an inter-disciplinary institute integrating the faculty, facilities and resource of all six departments of the College of Management.
    Aiming at nurturing outstanding managers and professionals with strategic and international capacity mindset, as well as scholars with great research capacity, the GSM program consists of MBA, PMBA, EMBA, and Ph.D programs.


Teaching and Research

    GSM puts great emphasis on both practical training and research. In order to serve the purpose, GSM will continually and proactively upgrade the facilities and cooperate with in dustries in the future. With eight professors, thirty-one associate professors and thirty-eight assistant professors, the faculty of GSM specializes in a variety of fields, encompassing Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Banking and Finance Accounting ,Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, International Business, Healthcare Management, among others.
    In addition to the expertise in respective areas, all faculty members are rich in both real-world this competency and teaching experiences. Thus, that provides a solid foundation for the students for future career options. With seminars and social activities held regularly to enhance the relationship between teachers and students, the interaction and communication between them are sound and clear.


Curriculum and Facilities

    In GSM, a student is required to complete forty-eight credits, including required and elective courses, before graduation. Aiming at providing profound management knowledge, GSM program contains (1) required courses (seminar, Business Research Methods, English Speech and Writing , and Case Study), (2) core management courses (Organization Theory and Management¡K) (3) Methodology, and (4) Electives.
    The core courses equip the students with fundamental training as a managerial generalist, and the elective courses serve as minor competences to meet to strdents,s dirersfied interests. In addition to the basic educational necessities, our facilities include audio-visual classrooms and a computer classroom with thirty personal computers and related peripherals. Moreover, several laboratories (including a System Automation Laboratory, a Simulation and Statistical Analysis Laboratory, Production and Operations Management Laboratory, a Business Administration Simulation Laboratory and Finance and Accounting Simulation Laboratory) are also under design as educational supplements.


Career Outlook

    Upon graduation , the graduates have a good command of the cutting edge management theories, and through freguent interactions with those executive students working full time, they are familiar with the real-world situations and business practices.The career opportunities of our graduates are encouragingly Broad. Typically, they are competitive in both private and public sectors.Those interested in pursuing academic careers could go on and apply for doctor programs in Management home and abroad. Some others start own business as entrepreneurs to put what they learn in GSM to practical use.
